"From the whole tournament staff to the community support, an awesome experience for all of the players, coaches and families. The level of competition was outstanding and the hosts were very accommodating. Plus, they also have planned off field activities for the teams. It’s very clear to see why this tournament has been around for many years.

A huge shout out to Tournament Director Dan Malone, and MCYSA President John Streit. Keep up the good work for all of these young athletes and families. I highly recommend this tournament to all of our baseball friends, and have let many International team contacts know about this event."

– Coach Mark Wilson. U.S. World Baseball San Diego

"Shout out to MCYSA for this weekend’s international tournament. Given all the rain that came Sat night and Sunday, they worked hard and got all the games in. We played all 5 guaranteed games plus Silver Bracket playoffs. This was our second time playing in this tournament and we definitely recommend it."

– Michael Spataro. Dunham Bulls, Chicago

"The tournament was absolutely phenomenal, especially given the weather. Staff and crew were great. Would highly recommend to anyone."

– Russ Rommelfanger. Munster Bombers, Munster, IN

"This was my third year at the MCYSA International Championship and it was by far the best tournament experience I have ever had. This was my first time attending the “Opening Ceremony” and won’t be my last. The players and parents thought it was cool to march into Lippold in front of the crowd, and the celebrations and recognitions were great, but the Anthems of the different countries put it over the top. The players and parents are still talking about how awesome it was to be a part of it!

The competitiveness of this tournament was another great quality. No game time limits meant most games went the whole seven innings. No games stopped short in the middle of an inning because of the tick of the clock and coaches were challenged to manage their pitchers’ innings. WOW! It was like playing real baseball!"

– Eric Smith. Midwest Halos, Muskego, WI

"Probably the best 11U-15U tournament in the State of Illinois. It’s by far my favorite local tournament of the season."

– Michael Tumpane. Canes Illinois Gold

"The goodwill, camaraderie, and culture of the tournament are fantastic. If one were to set out to do what you guys have done over the years, I don't believe a better path could be envisaged. All in the framework of real baseball without time limits or tiebreakers. It's one heck of an experience to take a team up against a foreign national team. We were privileged to do so and I sincerely hope to give more local teams the chance to have a similar experience."

– Ernie Smith. Lake in the Hills Thunder Gold
